Don't look at me

DON’T LOOK AT ME.

This is the first work of lighting that I show to you. This was originally going to be a static shot but the strength of the animation made me decide to turn it into a short sequence. I created the full background, clothes, shading and lighting. Lighting was done during the Advance course of Lighting at Animum Creativity Advanced School with the supervision of Alex Mateo, one of my mentors in the course. The animation was made by character animator Fatima Tamayo. This work is inspired in a scene of the film “Moonlight”, which I personally love. I hope you like it!

I used Autodesk Maya for modeling and lighting, Marvelous Designer for clothes, Substance Painter for texturing and Adobe After Effects for composition. Rendering was done with Arnold Renderer.

Go check some new material at www.jesusparras.com, still in progress, but there’s more coming soon.
